Festival International du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand

The 31st International Festival of Short Film in my college town will be held from January 30th to February 7th 2009 and I heartily encourage anyone and everyone to go and enjoy the show.
The festival is split in three main categories (you can see the trailers following the links):
- National (about 75 films)
- International (about 65 films)
- Compétition Labo (about 45 films)
You can see prices and schedule here.
The festival is shown in my University so most of the time, classes are canceled that week which is really cool if you plan on going and watch as many films as you can. There are student rates and if you are one of the volunteers working for the festival you can watch films for free.
Here are all the Festival’s posters since 1979 and winners for each competition. Every year, there is a special show, an homage to an artist or a cinematographer in general. I remember seeing an experimental version of Hitchcock’s Psycho through a kaleidoscopic point of view, spinning like techno music would in images: very intense.
It is a big Festival with field trips of all ages. I recommend it.
